Purpose
|
| The medium voltage SF6 gas insulated switchgear are design for installation
in power stations, transformer and distribution substations in power supply
networks of 25.8kV |
|
Main Features and Advantages
|
- Protection of persons
- With metal enclosures extending up to the cable connection assembly,
complete protection against inadvertent contact with live parts is achieved.
In the event of most unlikely fault-arc occurrence, pressure relief
bursting discs directed away from the line of operating personnel ensure
that persons cannot come to harm.
- Independence of environmental conditions
- Since the switchgear is hermetically sealed, it is impossible for
moist or salt-laden air, dust or vermin to reduce the dielectric strength
of the insulation. Hence internal flashover is practically ruled out.
- Operational reliability, maintenance freedom
- Due to environmental independence and the high degree of protection
afforded to persons, a correspondingly high level of reliability is
attained.
- High availability
- High operational reliability and extensive freedom from maintenance
in turn ensure a high availability of the switchgear, a feature which
today can be of decisive significance
